We get asked this question every week by customers. Can we use the wall stickers and apply them to a canvas so we can move them around?
The answer is no.
If you want to use wall stickers and move them around, here are some ideas:
1- Buy a frame from IKEA or from a local framing shop. Apply the wall stickers to the glass on the front and this will form an artwork that can be moved around.
2- Buy a piece of MDF or similar non expensive wood- make sure it is a laminated piece or else paint it with a layer of primer then topcoat- apply the wall sticker to this and place a hook on the back.
3- Similar to number one- buy a piece of glass or clear perspex and mount the wall stickers to that.
The problem with attempting to apply wall stickers to canvas is that canvas is a pourous moving material and the adhesive will not last against the canvas.
One customer painted, painted, painted then sanded and repeated so the canvas was like a piece of solid material before they applied. We still wouldn't recommend because it may last for a few months, but in general the plasticity of the vinyl will be affected against the canvas and you will find the vinyl lifting off.
Hope this helps.

ohhh.. thanks for that great advice! I'll surely remember this tip coz my sister is obsessed with painting from canvas to canvas. hihi

You can use the vinyl to create a stencil but it won't stick long term unless you varnish over and then it still has some chance of lifting under the varnish over time...
