Creating a wedding artwork is a fun yet meaningful idea. There are plenty of ideas and reasons for it, and we are going to detail some of our favourites.
Wedding Gift Artwork
- Gift from a bride or groom to their spouse
- Gift from friends and family to bride and groom
This is one of those gifts that we would classify on the 'meaningful tear jerking' scale as TOP TOP TOP of the scale. Ideas for these gifts would be an artwork that includes places, names, phrases, dates, song names, colours, all the little quirky things that unite the wedding couple.
Travel/ Place Name Artwork
This is a great way to a) get yourself a present for your home in the future and b) having an artwork as a feature at the wedding.
We have designed many of these style canvases which the couple first use at the wedding, either as a feature or a backdrop to a photo booth and then have the canvas at their house after as an artwork.
Wedding Vow or Wedding Song Artwork
This is a fabulous idea for after the wedding excitement has worn off. By taking a important memory from the day such as the song, the vows or a special poem and creating an artwork from it. You could have the lyrics designed with an ornate writing, or a hand drawn script, matching colours with your decor and a size that suits. Perfectly customised for your space.
Guest Book Canvas
This is a bit of a quirky idea, but an absolute winner! At the wedding you have a custom designed canvas, maybe just with a monogram of your names, or details about the wedding. The artwork can have lots of space on it, and then you can leave pens for guests to sign the artwork giving you a wonderful memory for after the wedding. Silver pens on white or black canvas looks AWESOME!
Next to the artwork you can have a little sign which directs guests about what to do and to please write neatly as the artwork will be a memory in your home.
In our experience, guests do a fabulous job of it and it is much nicer having an artwork than a book that goes in the draw to gather dust.
Okay, not strictly wedding, but the first anniversary for a couple is represented by "paper" and we have successfully convinced ourselves that the "pulp" that makes up paper is not far different from the pulp of canvas, and hence qualifies as a wonderful wedding anniversary gift.
